# Channels

#### How to switch chat channels?

You can type **<span style="background-color: #000000; color: #ffffff;">/channel type</span>** to change chat channel. for example, **/channel global** will put you in global chat.  
**/channel local** will put you in local chat.

#### What is Faction chat?

Faction chat is chat that is only read and seen by your own Faction. You can use it with : **/f chat** it works like a toggle;

- type it once to be in **faction chat only**, type it again to **return** to **global** or **local chat**!
